History
Victoria Secret was founded in the year 1977. The company has been operational for almost 42 years now. The founder of the company was Roy Raymond. The company was opened by the founder, for his wife, Gaye Raymond. During the late 1960s, Roy Raymond wanted to gift her wife some lingerie but was not at happy with the cheap options being sold at various departmental stores. Therefore, he spent his next eight years in researching about the lingerie market and thus started Victora's Secret. The company was opened with a capital of $80,000. The first store of the company was established in the Stanford Shopping Center, located in California, USA. The name of the company was inspired by Queen Victoria of the UK. In the first year of the business, the company had grossed over $500,000 and therefore opened up new headquarters, a warehouse and four new store locations as well. Catalogue sales of the company had amounted to almost $7 million annual sales.
By the year 1982, the company had grown into five stores along with a 40-page catalogue as well. The company was also grossing $6 million on an annual basis too. But, the company was sold off to Leslie Wexner, for about $1 million. In the year 1983, under the leadership of Waxner, new styles, colours and patterns of lingerie was introduced. In the year 1985, Howard Gross was made as to the company's president. By the year 1986, the company had almost 100 stores under its name, which resulted in 400 stores by 1988. In the year 1992, the company had also released their own line fragrance as well. During the 1990s, the company had released the Miracle Bra, which had sold over two million units but had faced fierce competition from Sara Lee's Wonder Bra. As of the year 1998, the company had almost 14 per cent share in the apparel market and had also entered the $3.5 billion cosmetic industry as well. By the year 2006, the company had almost 1,000 stores under its name and also accounted for nearly one-third purchases in the intimate apparel industry. As of the year 2016, direct sales of the company was only growing at 1.6 per cent. Sales started to stagnate and fall in the early months of the year 2017. Due to a 40 per cent plunge in the company's stock, in a single year, the company planned to close down nearly 53 stores in the USA. As of the year 2019, the company relaunched its swimwear lineup. Kristin,the manager at Partridge Creek is wonderful!!!I am not a fan of shopping,but she made it great.She “listened” to what I was seeking and I walked out,over $500. plus dollars,less than when I entered and damn happy about it.She’s precious and knowledgeable.Just a lovely lady,with a good sense of humor.

Hi, I was fired today because of technical difficulties with my headset and computer. It’s been really hard on my family and I with my husband having a heart condition. So I’m using an old computer that I can afford. I was fired because I had to disconnect some calls due to buzzing lagging and loud noises, and sometimes complete silence. I thought it was something normal because the majority of the customers said that other associates kept hanging up on them as well. They didn’t give me any benefit of the doubt at all. They didn’t believe anything I said at all. My manager’s name Megan Mobley was rude and unfair, she was never in my corner always caused lots of stress, and didn’t help at all. What’s really shocking is that I have never had any customer complaints at all, and so many customers have called in saying that VS associates had fat-shamed them, they were hung up on and some stated that they were belittled in front of other customers and those associates still have their jobs. I am going to take legal action

I have tried to add my daughter as a buyer. Site doesn’t work. Customer service sends me in a circle with no help whatsoever. One customer service agent actually gave me the # I called to reach her as the # to remedy the situation. Not an experience I expected with a multi-million company.

Who ever made the decision to move away from your traditional “target” market should be fired. Hello – I am writing to see if there is any thing you can do to replace my bottle of Crush perfume. I still have 1/2 bottle left and the sprayer is broken. I would be more than happy to send a picture but I’m not sure I can do it here. Maybe if you send me an email I can reply with the photo. I have been a customer for over 20 years. A credit limit of $250 is a joke. One year later still waiting for a credit card to be mailed? Tried to charge and it said declined. As of today I am boycotting VS for the rest of my life. Hello macys and Nordstrom.

I forgot a $10.85 bill from February 2022. I missed their email statement and they just pile on 3x fees of what I owe – which I do not mind paying, but they reported me delinquent because a 10.85 freaking bill?
I just paid $45.40 with all their fees.
I just called Customer Service asked them how come I was never contacted via phone the rep told me they tried to contact me but could not give me dates! Liars!
I then asked them to remove the delinquent remarks!!! But she told me she could not help me.
VS is pathetic and because of this, I would NEVER shop there!

I have always loved Victoria Secret. Shopped there for many years, have spent alot of money in their stores, but lately the quality of lingerie and especially underwears have gone downhill. I hand wash some of my items, but also wash them in delicate and in a mesh. So disappointed that after one wash, it shows the elastic tearing and looking worned out. Not happy at all. I was given a nice gift certificate from my son, but honestly, not sure if I want to purchase anything.

Victoria’s Secret in Mesa Arizona superstition Springs 6555 e southern ave. On the floor of the entryway there is a pink ‘Victoria’s Secret Enter’ round Sticker on the ground, about a foot and a half round diameter. A quarter of it is sticking up. Definite safety hazard. With hell dark the sticky area is that’s up, it’s been like that for a while…I notified the tremendously nice worker ‘ Customer service skill is absolutely not friendly and as if I was annoying Nonsensical. I’m not an employee but was concerned about others that were not watching where they were going because of this. There’s lots of people with handicaps even. About me mentioning this trip hazard and she just said, I’ll keep that in mind In a very dismissive and insincere manner. I have worked a great deal of my life in retail and sales… Very unprofessional it should’ve been taken wholeheartedly with concern. The entryway should be welcoming.. not dangerous. Btw the black 2 inch masking tape that is infront of the cash register stretched across the walkway isn’t attractive And not professional looking at all. Aside from shady warehouses, Which would be an OSHA violation still, most professional companies use some sort of rubber cord guard for the floor. This is Victoria’s Secret and The initial appearance makes it look very trashy along with the safety concerns… That being the sticker and the masking tape on the ground covering electrical cords.
If interested in employee or anything else you have my email here and I have the pictures I can help provide a clear picture for you that I have concern about. I don’t know I’m just stupid and care about people.

Your company is horrible to be employed by the managers that run your local chains refuse to let associates have lunches change their schedules with out telling people hours in advance. They don’t take the safety of their employees at heart make it count against them for leaving early due to weather keep them late at their expense .
